Instacann’s Cannabidiol tablets have been manufactured using an innovative self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (SMEDDS). SMEDDS increase the absorption of lipophilic drugs taken orally.

Canntab formulated an innovative solidification technique and developed a solid rapid eroding tablet dosage form. The tablet also contains a permeability enhancer which relaxes the tight junction of oral mucosa which in return increases drug absorption.

This patented innovative solid SMEDDS promotes the intestinal lymphatic uptake of Cannabinoids in lipid-based pharmaceutical formulations. It provides a quick drug absorption and high bioavailability and also avoids First pass effect. This delivery system enables micro-dosing of cannabinoids for medicinal application.
